On Monday we used watercolor paint and salt to make an ocean. Then on Tuesday we dipped our sea creature sponges into paint to decorate the ocean we made the previous day. On Wednesday we painted our crabs and glued eyes, legs and pinchers using pipe cleaners and clothes pins. On Thursday we glued tissue paper (scales) on our fish. On Friday we made jelly fish by painting half a plate with watercolors and glueing streamers. All our art work was then displayed around the room.
Throughout the week the toddler played with the ocean animals match up game (pictured on the left) and everyone enjoyed the ocean animals sensory buckets (also pictured on the left) especially when I threw in some measuring cups.
The preschooler enjoyed completing our ocean worksheets, which asked him to identify which ocean animals were the same or different and an ocean animal matching worksheet.
