My name is Christy Violante, and I am a mother of three energetic, school-aged children. I officially opened my home daycare in June 2014 as a way to stay home with my children while ensuring they, and the children in my care, receive high-quality early education, nurturing care, and meaningful socialization.
In addition to running Little Hands Home Daycare, I have prior experience working in a NAEYC-accredited childcare center, where I served as a lead teacher in a two-year-old classroom and as a phonics teacher.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Theology from Mount Saint Mary’s University. My certifications are always kept current, including Emergency Preparedness training and CPR and First Aid certification. I also complete annual professional development courses focused on child development and early childhood education.
As a licensed daycare provider, I am fingerprinted and background checked through the Office of Child Care. Any substitute caregivers I use on rare occasions are also fully background checked, as required to maintain licensure.
Above all, I value family. I love my children more than anything, and when you entrust your child to my care, I treat them with the same love, respect, and attention I would want for my own.
